Annually, Houston Foodies celebrate Houston Restaurant Weeks August 1st through Labor Day. Resturants offer specials and deals and participaning menus donate to the Houston Food Bank..."Dine out and Do good."
The Music Scene
Houstonians love live music and Houston is part of the global music scene with venues that have welcomed some big names as well as smaller stages for niche tastes and plenty of bars that offer live music of emerging artists.
Connectivity
With two major airports: George Bush Intercontinental and Hobby...there are PLENTY of flights to everywhere! Also, Houston is about an hour drive to the Gulf and closer to Louisiana than you might think.
The Great Outdoors
Memorial Park is Houston's largest urban-center park and at 1,500 acres is almost double the size of New York's Central Park. And, it has something for everyone: tennis courts, playing fields, bike trails, jogging trails, horse riding lessons, croquet courts, driving range, ecological areas and more! But, why stop there? Houston has over 366 parks, 200 green spaces and over 125 miles of hike and bike trails.
